NVIDIA Shield Review

Lisa Gade reviews the NVIDIA Shield, an Android handheld gaming device with a built-in controller, Tegra 4 CPU and a 5″ HD display. The $299US Shield is an unusual product: it’s an Android 4.1.2 handheld with a very sharp 1280 x 720 display, 16 gigs of storage and 2 gigs of DDR3 RAM. It also competes with the PS Vita and Nintendo DS with its robust integrated XBOX style controller, ample speakers and long battery life. It can play Tegra optimized games, standard Android games and some PC games via streaming. It has dual band WiFi with MIMO, Bluetooth, a GPS, microSD card slot and USB host.
