Ok, you want a bit more information. That’s fair enough…

For me, it started a few years ago. I had an IBM Laptop and it was my everything. I didn’t leave home without it. I am an online blogger, and web designer so yes I probably used mine more than the average person. But there was a point that I will remember very clearly in hardware progression. It was with the invention of the iPhone.

Never before had anyone seen a device, as small and powerful as this. It literally took over the mobile market. But what I found incredible was what this thing was capable of. And it didn’t cost the world. Well at least not after a year of being out. For what they are capable of anything for less than $500 is pretty good going. As mentioned, this was a while ago now, and here we are today with a device that sites perfectly between the average laptop and mobile phone. The slate tablet device. Now what I found to be incredible about tablets more than anything else what that they filled a void that stopped the iPhone progressing as far as it did. They were actually capable of working on and with. For a blogger like me, to be able to sit on the metro with this thin, tiny object was much better than having my old IBM sat on my lap. Before I shouted GEEK to anyone looking at me, now I shout Modern Blogger, and a cool one at that.

For me the best thing about tablets however was their price. It is actually possible to pick up the best tablets on a budget. You do not need to spend as much as you would on a laptop, which for parents looking to get their kid one for college is perfect.

It should be said early that some of these budget tablets are not the best, so choose carefully when searching for one. I know I made a mistake before and don’t want to others to do the same. I therefore decided it could be an idea to actually set up a review site of some of the best budget tablets available on the market.
